Battle of the Bands –
To promote and support local youth bands, the Embrace of Celebration Music Festival will add a Battle of the Bands on the main stage.
Event Format:
Three youth bands—each with a minimum of three members—will compete by performing one live song each. The songs may be of any genre but must be performed 100% live (no backing tracks), and should last between 3 to 4 minutes. Clean version and family friendly.
All band members must be of high school age.
After each performance, a panel of judges will provide brief commentary. During this intermission, a guest artist will perform on the side stage to keep the energy going.
Judging Criteria (0–5 points per category):
• Technical Performance: Accuracy, pitch, musical cohesion
• Stage Presence: Engagement with the audience and one another, charisma, expression
• Audience Reaction: Crowd response, impact on judges and attendees
After all three bands have performed, the judges will deliberate and announce the winner live on stage, along with a short summary of their decision. Individual scores and rankings for the other bands will not be made public.
Prize:
• Three 1-hour coaching sessions
• A live performance opportunity at The Celebration Wine Bar [TBD if band is not bigger the 3 band members )

• A video or audio recording of the band performing the chosen song
